Stanley 1,450 PSI 1.4 GPM Electric Pressure Washer P1450S Review

Stanley 1,450 PSI 1.4 GPM Electric Pressure Washer P1450SPurchased elsewhere for $150.00,i used it to wash siding on home, car port concrete surface and a small boat. Total of approximately 10 Hrs.before the pump seized up and shut down the unit.STANLEY OWNERS MANUEL puts you in touch with GXI , the company that supplies the electric motor, pump, etc..for this piece of junk. They wanted me to send them the entire unit back to them and my credit card number and they would decide how to handle the problem which could cost as much as a new unit and all i wanted was for them to send me a new pump assembly.I have searched the Internet over and over and CAN NOT find a replacement.I WOULD LIKE STANLEY TO PROVIDE THE CUSTOMER WITH A PRODUCT THAT THEY COULD PURCHASE REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR.MAYBE A PRODUCT CUSTOMER SATISFICATION PERSON FROM STANLEY COULD HELP OUT HERE.I purchase a lot from Amazon because of their return policy and good pricing and they should know about this JUNK.I have seen documentation from people with the same problem.

Snap On Tools 2000 PSI Electric Power Pressure Washer Review

Snap On Tools 2000 PSI Electric Power Pressure WasherI had a very nice gas powered, 2,600 psi pressure washer for a few years. It had a Honda engine, and was insanely powerful. The downside: It took up too much room in my garage, the tires kept getting low because I didn't use it much, and it was loud. You are also not supposed to let the engine run when youaren't washing (wears out the pump), so if you want to use it to rinse off sections of your car while washing, you are constantly turning it off, then pull starting again. You also have the issue of the gas getting old if you don't use it, fumes, and the the exhaust gets hot so you need to keep your kids away from it. The pressure is so strong you need to be really careful too, it can damage some material.Bottom line....for my occasional, around the house use, it was overkill. I sold it to free up room in my garage, and figured I could live without one.

After realizing I miss having a pressure washer (I ride dirt bikes and they get muddy), I bought this Snap On 2,000 PSI electric unit at Costco, mostly because you can return anything anytime at Costco with no problems, and I have not read good things about electric pressure washers, so I figured I'd try it and if it's not strong enough or breaks I can bring it back.Got it home, it's simple to set up, and within a few minutes I was using it with my 8 year old daughter to clean clumps of mud off my dirt bike. All I can say is based on one use, I am absolutely thrilled. It's super quiet, the pressure is the perfect strength for general cleaning, and it stores away in even a very small corner of your garage.Plus, the pump only comes on when you pull the handle, so you don't have to turn it on and off during a job.The fittings are metal, so I suspect they will hold up, but time will tell.Besides, if it breaks, I'll just take it back to Costco for a new one.

This unit has a lot of plastic on it, including the wheels; it is very obviously designed for light use by homeowners who are careful with their stuff. My guess is for any kind of commercial application this little guy wouldn't last long, but for home use: it seems perfect.

The bottom line:If you need a pressure washer that's going to get used hours at at time, you loan it out a lot, or it gets used on a job site, buy a gas one....hands down, no question. But if you think you are going to use it once in a while to wash your cars, your patio furniture, clean out garbage cans, etc....I think you will be thrilled with this unit.Especially when you put it away for months at at time....

McCulloch FHH20A 2000 psi 1.45 gpm Electric Pressure Washer Review

McCulloch FHH20A 2000 psi 1.45 gpm Electric Pressure WasherI purchased the FHH18A model (identical except for psi rating) two years ago and have used it professionally to clean the exteriors of about 30 large Victorian houses and a dozen long concrete driveways and walkways(about 150 hours of use total). Problems: 1.) I had the same problem as others with the cheap plastic double-female hose connector just recently. The hose would pop off when I turned on the water. I fixed the problem by converting it to a quick-connect system for $9 with standard hose parts from ACE Hardware. 2.) The water chamber inlet rubber gasket came out of its groove when attached to an unregulated outdoors water standpipe (c. 90 psi). Fixed by removing and re-installing it; a 30 minute job. 3.) Wear on the wand tip rendered the fan pattern unavailable after 2 years use. Bought a replacement wand/hose/tip through McCulloch website for $35.93 and had it in 3 days.

I fully expect to get another year's use out of it before I retire it and use it for parts. I think it is a good value for the $165 I paid for it, which so far has worked out to only $4.00 per project.

AR North America Inc. AR383 Blue Clean Pressure Washer Review

AR North America Inc. AR383 Blue Clean Pressure WasherI did a lot of research on electric power washers and this brand seemed to have really good professional reviews.I chose this particular model because of the long power cord and the long high pressure hose.As extra bonuses you also get 1900 pounds of pressure and everything wraps up nice and neat on the unit.My only concern is the plastic connection for the hose.I wish they would have used brass or steel like what they have on the high pressure connection.I've tested the unit for about three hours.I washed a couple of windows; did a great job.I cleaned my tiled patio; got the dirt out of the grout.I cleaned my car; got most of the dirt, but even a 3000 psi unit can't get it all, it's just a basic fact you have to use some elbow grease to get road scum off.I also tried it on my fence to clean off dirt and moss build up; didn't do such a good job but then again it is a 1900psi unit and for wood you really need at least 2600psi.For that you need a gas unit and I really don't want to deal with the mess, the loud noise, and the maintenance.I'm really happy with this unit so far, I just hope it doesn't break after a couple of uses like I heard from reviewers of other brands.
